The surfaces in your kitchen and bathroom set the tone for the entire space. From countertops and backsplashes to tile and flooring, every material choice affects how a room looks, feels, and holds up over time. We help you navigate those choices with clarity, so you end up with surfaces that work as well as they look.

Countertops, Tile & Surfaces,
Guided by 20+ Years of Expertise
At Crystal Bath & Kitchen Co., we've spent over two decades helping homeowners across Kawartha Lakes and beyond choose surfaces they're still happy with years later. Whether it's a kitchen countertop, bathroom tile, flooring, or a backsplash that ties a room together, we help you understand how each material actually performs before you commit.
Quartz Countertops
Non-porous, stain-resistant, and available in over 150 designs. Quartz never needs sealing and maintains its appearance for decades. We carry Cambria, the only American-made quartz with a transferable lifetime warranty, and help you choose the right pattern for your space.
Solid Surface Countertops
Seamless installation with a surface that can be sanded to remove scratches and minor burns. Corian solid surface is ideal for continuous countertop runs and integrated sinks. We help you understand where solid surface outperforms quartz and where it doesn't.
Tile & Flooring
Premium tile for kitchens, bathrooms, backsplashes, and floors. We carry Centura Tile, a Canadian distributor of high-quality Italian ceramics and specialty flooring. We help you choose options that perform in high-moisture and high-traffic areas, not just options that look good in a showroom.
Backsplashes & Accents
Your backsplash ties countertops, cabinets, and fixtures together into a cohesive design. We help you coordinate materials across surfaces so nothing feels mismatched. Options include tile, quartz extensions, and solid surface, each with different maintenance and durability considerations.
Every surface material involves trade-offs between durability, maintenance, repairability, heat resistance, and cost. There's no single best option for every household. Here's what you need to know about the most common countertop materials so you can weigh the pros and cons based on what matters most to you.
Cambria Quartz
Excellent stain resistance from a non-porous surface that never needs sealing. Good heat resistance, though trivets are recommended for hot pans. Maintenance is simple: soap and water only. Over 150 colours and patterns available. Cannot be repaired if chipped or cracked. Mid to high price range.

Corian Solid Surface
Very good stain resistance with occasional buffing for heavy use. Moderate heat resistance, more sensitive than quartz to direct heat. Maintenance is soap and water with occasional light sanding. The key advantage: scratches and minor burns can be fully repaired. Mid price range.

Natural Granite
Excellent heat resistance, the best of the three options. Good stain resistance when properly sealed, but requires annual resealing to maintain protection. Chips are difficult to repair. Natural variation between slabs means samples may differ from your installed surface. Price varies widely.

We walk you through these trade-offs in person at our Lindsay showroom, where you can see and feel each material side by side. There's no single best option for every home, but there is a best option for yours, and we'll help you find it based on how you live and what matters most to you.

Choosing surfaces seems straightforward until you're comparing materials side by side and realizing every option involves a compromise somewhere. Countertops, tile, flooring, backsplashes: each decision affects how a room looks, feels, and holds up over time. With over 20 years of helping Kawartha Lakes homeowners, we've built an approach around honesty, clarity, and hands-on comparison.
We Match Materials to How You Live
A kitchen countertop faces different demands than a bathroom vanity or an entryway floor. We ask about your daily routines, your household, and your maintenance preferences before recommending anything. The right material depends on your life, not on what's trending.
We Show You Real Samples at Scale
Small material samples are misleading. Our Lindsay showroom has full-size displays so you can see patterns at actual scale, compare materials side by side under proper lighting, and bring your own cabinet samples or paint chips to test real combinations before you fully commit.
We Handle Fabrication and Installation
Already have a contractor? We coordinate with them on measurements, templating, and scheduling to keep everything on track. No contractor yet? We can recommend trusted local fabricators and installers we've worked with for years who consistently meet our standards for quality.
We've tested, installed, and lived with these materials for over two decades. Every brand we carry has proven itself through years of real-world performance in Kawartha Lakes homes, not just in showroom conditions.
We also carry Olympia Tile, Migley West Tile, Ceratec and more. Each has been selected to the same standards of quality and reliability. These brands have earned their place in our showroom through consistent performance across hundreds of bathroom projects in the Kawartha Lakes region.
